Election Dates

The State of MN has two elections; the Primary Election is Tuesday, August 14, 2018 and the General Election is Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Both elections are open to voters from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Eagle Lake City Hall, City Council Chambers located at 705 Parkway Avenue.

Local Office Vacancies

The following positions are open for local offices.

Mayor - one (1) vacancy - serves a two (2) year term

City Council - two (2) vacancies - each serves a four (4) year terms

When and How Can You File for a Local Office?

The filing period for local offices is July 31, 2018 through August 14, 2018. Filing packets can be obtained at City Hall only during these dates. All paperwork plus the $2.00 filing fee are due back into City Hall no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 14, 2018.
