Registering to Vote

Do You Need to Register to Vote In Eagle Lake?  There are several reasons you may need to register to vote, some of which include:

  • You have never voted in Eagle Lake
  • You are new to Eagle Lake
  • Your name has changed since you last voted
  • Your address within Eagle Lake has changed since you last voted
  • You have not voted in the past four (4) years.

Early Voting/Absentee Voting

Blue Earth County administers early voting and absentee voting.  For more information about voting prior to election day click this link.
 

Election Dates

  • All elections held in Eagle Lake are held at City Hall, 705 Parkway Avenue.  Voting hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 13, 2024 – Primary Election.  This is a partisan election that allows voters to choose which candiates from their party they want to see on the November ballot.
  • Tuesday, November 5, 2024 – General Election.  This is a non-partisan election, meaning voters are allowed to vote for any candidate they feel best represents them without having to vote along party lines.

Local Offices

The following local offices will be up for election as part of the General Election on Novmeber 5, 2024.  The filing period, for those who wish to be on the ballot, is from July 30, 2024 through August 13, 2024.  Please contact Kerry at City Hall at 507-257-3218 for more information on how to file.

  • Mayor – two year term
  • 2 Council seats – four year term each
