The City of Eagle Lake in partnership with the Eagle Lake Community Development Foundation has spent many months actively planning to bring "Music on Parkway" to Eagle Lake this summer. Due to COVID-19 and not yet knowing when outdoor events like this will be permitted, the matching grant obtained for this purpose from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) will be carried forward for use in the summer of 2021.
In the meantime, the Music on Parkway Committee will continue closely monitoring guidance in the coming weeks and months. If it is determined safe to hold an outdoor event with social distancing measures in place later this summer or early fall, the Committee would like to make an effort to hold one modified event yet in 2020 to debut the Music on Parkway Series coming in 2021.
Watch for updates posted on the Music on Parkway Facebook page and City of Eagle Lake website! Your continued excitement, interest, and patience with the music series is greatly appreciated!
What is Music on Parkway? This is a newly created FREE music series that will be held outdoors and open to the public to encourage community and the collective enjoyment of music in an outdoor setting. Each event will consist of a short performance by a local musician, a live band, local food vendors, and more!
Message from the Music on Parkway Planning Committee: We are excited to launch the Music on Parkway series when it is deemed safe to do so. We will be closely monitoring state and federal guidance on outdoor events in the months ahead and will adjust the series accordingly.
