Temporary Food Shelf at City Hall
Mayor John Whitington and his wife, Audra, would like to announce the start of a temporary community food shelf located at City Hall. This effort is intended as a short-term supplement to help community members who may need some extra support. It is not meant to replace existing resources such as the local food shelf, but to provide an additional option for those in need.
Tables will be set up at the south end of City Hall for both donations and pickups. You do not need to check in at the front office—drop off or help yourself to available food items. Please note that only non-perishable food items will be accepted.
City Hall hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Community members wishing to donate may begin dropping off non-perishable items on Monday, and items will be available for pickup starting Tuesday. This temporary program will remain in place as long as there is community need and participation.
